In each of the studies the human test subjects were exposed to the entire UV range for nine consecutive days. The results from biopsies of the exposed areas are:

• Low does cumulative UVA I exposure damages the skin both on a superficial level and in deeper tissue (epidermis and dermis).

• Treatment with conventional sunscreens containing UVB filters and UVA II filters gave some protection, but broad spectrum sunscreen containing Parsol 1789 provided greater protection of the dermis and epidermis.

• Superior protection against cumulative exposure to the entire UV range is gained with the use of Parsol 1789.

According to Dr Kaidbey, "Skin is under constant threat of damage from UVB and UVA radiation.”These studies demonstrate the efficacy of Parsol 1789 in protecting human skin against the entire UVB and UVA spectrum when combined with UVB filters. This kind of all year round protection from daily exposure is essential for prevention of skin damage and premature aging of the skin."
